During the ‘first wave’, the case fatality rate (the ratio of the number of deaths to the number detected infections) hit 19% in France, 15% in the UK and 5% in Germany. That was scary times. And now the number of detected infections are starting to rise again in France, Germany and UK. But most importantly the number of deaths aren’t.
