As Senator for South Australia Alex Antic warned Parliament last year 2021, the WEF might lobby on issues such as climate change, so-called systemic racism and sexism and creating an online digital identity.

However, “closer inspection reveals the World Economic Forum is an anti-capitalist, anti-free market organisation that seeks to subvert Western values and political processes”.

Over 20 Australians have completed the WEF’s Young Global Leaders program.

Dozens more have attended Davos summits and have made key contributions to WEF policies and initiatives.

Once again, we continue our series of biographies on key people linked to Klaus Schwab’s World Economic Forum (WEF) that you may not have ever heard of but that hold considerable sway in our society.

Elected to the Australian Senate in 2019 representing the State of New South Wales, Andrew Bragg is one of the most high-profile Australians with ties to the World Economic Forum (WEF).

Bragg was tapped on the shoulder to be part of the Young Global Leaders class of 2021.

He attended the WEF ‘school’ while being a Senator with the Liberal Party of Australia, a position he still holds.

With the Liberal Party being Australia’s main conservative political party, about the only noticeable ‘Liberal’ characteristic Bragg has is his corporate background.

Before becoming a Senator, Andrew Bragg worked as an accountant at the multinational corporation Ernst & Young.

He also served in a range of directorships in the business world, including as the Director of the ASX Corporate Governance Council, Director of Policy & Global Markets at the Financial Services Council, and Executive Director of the Business Council of Australia.

As a Senator, Bragg has turned his attention to FinTech (financial technology), RegTech (regulatory technology), superannuation and cryptocurrency.

He is a member of the moderate faction of the Liberal Party and an ally of deposed Australian Prime Minister and former investment banker Malcolm Turnbull.

And he sides with the Left on almost every social policy debate.

In 2017, Andrew Bragg was the national director of the Liberals & Nationals for Yes campaign during the Australian Marriage Law Postal Survey.

He is a vocal proponent of quotas for women in parliament — a policy that puts a candidate’s gender above their eligibility for the role.

As many have warned, this would effectively add a third chamber to Australia’s parliament, where the Senate and the House of Representatives, before passing legislation, would be required to gain approval for that legislation by a group of people either elected or selected on the basis of their race.

On the trendy issue of climate change, Andrew Bragg is a strong advocate for carbon-neutral policies or ‘net zero’ — the dogma that has led to Australia’s current energy crisis.

Not one to shy away from wokery, Bragg criticised anti-Asian ‘hate’, as evidence emerged that the Chinese Communist Party was covering up the origins of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Advocating against genuine racism is of course commendable.

Nevertheless, it was a stance no doubt welcomed by the Chinese Communist Party, which is known to have used accusations of racism in the West to deflect criticism over its leaking (and likely creation) of the Wuhan virus.

Following the Liberal National Coalition’s 2022 election loss, Andrew Bragg went on television to argue that Liberals must ditch the culture wars: a pretty rich statement coming from a guy who has been turning the culture war ratchet in a leftward direction for years.

By ditching the so-called “culture wars”, there would be no push back against the radical Left who would be free to go about reshaping society into the socialist utopia that Karl Marx envisages.

Or, indeed, into the weird hybrid corporatist-socialist utopia that Klaus Schwab envisages.
