GOOD NEWS BIBLE: Ephesians 1:17 – 23

^vs.17  and ask the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, to give you the Spirit, who will make you wise and reveal God to you, so that you will know him. ^vs.18  I ask that your minds may be opened to see his light, so that you will know what is the hope to which he has called you, how rich are the wonderful blessings he promises his people, ^vs.19  and how very great is his power at work in us who believe. This power working in us is the same as the mighty strength ^vs.20  which he used when he raised Christ from death and seated him at his right side in the heavenly world. ^vs.21  Christ rules there above all heavenly rulers, authorities, powers, and lords; he has a title superior to all titles of authority in this world and in the next. ^vs.22  God put all things under Christ’s feet and gave him to the church as supreme Lord over all things. ^vs.23  The church is Christ’s body, the completion of him who himself completes all things everywhere.

^vs.17  That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: ^vs.18  The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, ^vs.19  And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, ^vs.20  Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, ^vs.21  Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: ^vs.22  And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, ^vs.23  Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.
