SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – Earlier this week, a group of practicing physicians spoke in Washington D.C. about the benefits of Hydroxychloroquine to treat COVID-19 patients.

Many of the doctors in attendance have personally treated COVID-19 patients, including Dr. Simone Gold.

The video touting Hydroxychloroquine as an effective treatment for patients infected with COVID-19 quickly went viral, gathering over 15 million views on Facebook alone.

Many of the doctors spoke, each sharing their personal perspective of the success they have had using Hydroxychloroquine to treat patients infected with coronavirus.

Dr. Simone Gold explained, “we’re here because we feel as though the American people have not heard from all the expertise that’s out there, all across our country.” Continuing, “we’re here only to help America’s patients and the American nation heal. We have a lot of information to share, Americans are riveted and captured by fear at the moment. We are not being held down by the virus as much as we are being held down by the spider web of fear. That spider web is all around us, and it’s constricting us, and it’s draining the life blood of the American people, American society, and American economy.”

Since the physicians gathered to share their positive experiences using Hydroxychloroquine on COVID-19 patients, they have been smeared by the mainstream media and censored by essentially every big tech company; Facebook, Google, and Twitter.

Dr. Simone Gold published a thread of tweets (below) explaining what happened to them, and asked why “social media company employees with no medical degree or clinical experience are censoring the perspectives of practicing physicians?” Dr. Gold also asked on Twitter, “Why are journalists claiming hydroxychloroquine is ineffective when there are numerous studies showcasing its efficacy against COVID-19?”

Since President Trump promoted hydroxychloroquine as a beneficial treatment, the media, big tech, and Democrat officials have been adamant about not allowing anyone to speak in favor of the drug. President Trump announced himself that he has been taking it as a prevention measure from catching the disease.

Dr. Simone Gold joined KUSI News to share her experience using hydroxychloroquine as a treatment, and why the medical community, and Democrat legislators won’t embrace the drug as a valid treatment option for those infected with coronavirus.
