House intelligence committee chairman Adam Schiff has come under scrutiny for reportedly having his own connection to a Ukrainian businessman.
Schiff, who has a leading role in Congress’ impeachment enquiry into President Donald Trump, is now facing questions about his link to the businessman, Igor Pasternak.
Pasternak is the founder of Worldwide Aeros Corp, a manufacturer of airships aimed at both the military and commercial markets.
According to Fox News, Pasternak, who immigrated to American from Ukraine, has also been involved in weapons manufacturing.

Pasternak’s company has reportedly worked with the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense to produce a modified version of the M4 and M16 rifles.
The businessman has also hosted fundraisers in Washington, DC, for Schiff.
One such fundraiser occurred on July 18, 2013, at Pasternak’s DC home, according to PoliticalPartyTime.org.
At that time, Schiff was running for California’s 28th Congressional District.
The news of Schiff connection to Pasternak comes just a week after House Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced an impeachment inquiry into Trump.
House Democrats launched the inquiry after a whistleblower alleged Trump had sought to pressure Ukraine’s president, Volodymyr Zelensky, into investigating former Vice President Joe Biden, a leading contender for the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination, and his son, Hunter.
The news of Schiff connection to Pasternak comes just a week after House Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced an impeachment inquiry into Trump
During a July 25 call, Trump asked Zelensky to speak with the Republican president’s personal lawyer, Rudy Giuliani.
The former New York mayor has been pursuing a globe-trotting effort to find out whether Ukrainian officials improperly dropped an investigation of gas; company, Burisma Holdings, which hired Hunter while Biden served as the vice president during the Obama Administration.

Trump, who has branded the impeachment probe a ‘hoax,’ has attacked Schiff as a ‘lowlife’ and a liar thundered at him during a White House news conference and suggested that he be questioned or arrested for treason.
‘Schiff is a lowlife who should resign (at least!),’ Trump wrote on Twitter on Thursday. Hours later, on the White House lawn, he described Schiff as a ‘stone-cold liar’.
